These are my illustrations for maps for Mabuhay Magazine. They wanted something stylized and colorful and was so pleased with the map of California they asked me to make another map again! :)

i really liked the map of California too! Enjoyed making it!

Watercolors

Just the feeling of watercolors flowing thru the textured paper, just makes me tingle all over. These are for a future project, I hope to sell or exhibit more of these "art cards" :)

Again I was inspired by May Ann Licudine from her cat paintings. You can't see it from the pic but I added some gold paint to the lucky charm and some gold dots here and there.

Fishers of Men

Tried to paint again after so long, and it felt so good. I took the inspiration from one of my most favorite Pinay artists, May Anne Licudine. Her whimsical works and colors gave the idea for this. And I am very pleased with the outcome.

Hopefully I get to paint more soon. I wanna get those art juices flowing again!

The idea started out as me wanting to paint some KOI fish, then sketched some rough layouts, and I added a little chinese boy with his lucky lantern. I was happy i got to incorporate some chinese into the painting(somehow).

do you see the pretty and shiny gold paint? i love applying gold paint, and i try not to overdo it.

Valentines

a quickie doodle on Photoshop for this coming Valentine’s. Brace yourselves, FOREVER ALONE posts are coming(nah not really). I got a chance to watch some Evanescence videos again yesterday night and I still love their songs and the beauty of their umm…uniqueness. That’s why I was a bit inspired to make this.

How is everyone? I'm still in the process of figuring out what the heck my style is.

This was a quick pencil sketch and digitally painted, a bit sloppy.

I went for the feel of the lighting on this one.

Anyway theres nothing new, same old work. I'm abit nervous for the announcement if our animation gets funded or not, sheesh please please please fund it. Or else I'll just have to sell it to another willing sponsor then.

the lantern that lived

Me and my friends went out last Sept. 13 to eat dinner and make lanterns fly~

We had two lanterns, the furst one died a miserable death.

the second one lived a short but beautiful life. :D

it was an awesome first time experience, i hope we get to do it every year :D

TEABERRI

Hello everyone, how's it going? Sorry for the lack of posts for the past 2 months(?!) gasp. 

anyway here's a little something I did for a friend,

 they were opening a tea shop and asked me to do a mural for them(sweet!).

 first thing I do is sketch out some thumbnails to give them a feel of how

 it would look like, or if they want a new composition/angle or want something added.

 From there I put in the lighting in a gray tone, then the client would 

see if this is good or not. If it is, then on to the next stage. :)

OH COLOR~ what FUN :P

here I put in colors, details, blah..

here is the finished product.

hopefully i get more projects(i'm running out of money here =.=)

oh BTW here's a sneak peak of our new upcoming animation project with Karlene Co and Blog Caliguia. Hopefully we get funded. :| Credits to Jeunesse Jao for the story, concept, etc~ :D
